Beware of excessive Uber rates!

<p>I recently used Uber to get from the Sandton Gautrain station to the airport.</p> <p>Having used Uber to the airport on previous ocassison, at a cost of around R280, in my haste I did not look at the quoted fare before requesting the vehicle.</p> <p>The final charge came to R670!</p> <p>When querying this with Uber, their response basically amounted to "Sorry you do not like our Surge pricing".</p> <p>Uber is such a convenient & professional method of getting around, and it is sad that they inflate pricing to this degree.</p> <p>Having said this, a recommendation to all Uber users to make sure you check the fare before requesting in future.</p> <p>DON'T LET UBER TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE!</p>
