Bad Uber Service

I booked a Trip to OR Thambo at 04:15 in the morning. At 04:05 the Driver asked me if I'm paying Cash. I said no and then he said then I need to find another Driver. After waiting a long time the next Driver pitched and after driving a few Kilometers I saw that his petrol light was on. Asking him what's his plan he says can't I pay him in Cash. I said no. Then asked but can I pay for his petrol with my card. Having no choice as I would be stranded and would miss my flight I agreed. I reported this to Uber and all they said is because there was no recorded trip they can unfortunately do nothing
