Bad taste in mouth

Uber has fast become a household name in South Africa. Its a convenient way of travelling without the worry of been pulled over by traffic officers if you have had too much to drink.

So I like many other Africans registered and downloaded the application and registered my card with them and went ahead and requested a cab. It asked me to verify my account details by scanning my card, which I did. It did not work. I looked all over for a contact number and found none. Sent an email and 42 mins later someone responded and said they prefer to communicate via email. My problem was not solved as they did not support my card or bank. I was left stranded.

Second time same thing happened. I registered a VCPAY account as requested by their agents. Did not work. Was stranded again.

3rd time this morning sent an email...verified my account again with my ID. 53 minutes later I was told my account is now sorted I can log in they verified everything and I can start using the service. Logged on.....only to be told.....my account has been banned....thereafter disabled.

I am once again stranded.

Great...great....great service.
