abuse of cancellation fee by Uber/Uber Drivers

On 10 June 2018 I requested an uber ride from 3 shuter road to durban exhibition center. After the request an Uber ride arrived and after communicating with him that he should wait for a minute. The driver decided to cancel the trip. I did not initiate the cancellation. It was the driver who decided to cancel for his / or her own reasons. i specifically requested the driver to wait but the driver chose not to wait. As a result, I am charged a penalty fee of R25-00 by Uber for the cancellation. This is not for the first time that an Uber driver cancels a trip despite communication between myself and the driver that I am available and should therefore wait. Using the Uber App to address the issue is not helpful and nothing more than a waste of time.
