A Disturbing Failure of Safety — and of Accountability

Nearly three weeks, and Uber’s response has been a carousel of copy-paste emails asking for details I’ve already provided — repeatedly. The issue isn’t my clarity. It’s their refusal to listen.

During the ride, a violent stranger forced her way into the car, demanded cash, assaulted me physically and verbally, even tried to ***** my bag. The driver ignored every plea to stop or call the police — did absolutely nothing.

That level of inaction is indefensible. But Uber’s silence and bureaucratic indifference since then? That’s the real audacity.

Promises of safety mean nothing when the system built to uphold them doesn’t care to respond.
