33 minutes late for psychologist appointment

I used Uber to get to a psychologist appointment, and ended up arriving 33 minutes late. There were no Ubers available at 07:45. With the extended waiting time, an Uber would have arrived between 08:00 and 08:05. I made the necessary arrangements that I would arrive at the psychologist at 08:15. At 08:08 I phoned the driver, who said he was 4 minutes away. Another 10 minutes later he phoned to ask where I was. He was waiting for me in South Street (which he thought was Prospect), while I set my location as Prospect Street. He handed his phone to a security guard who confirmed that he was in fact in South Street. The same security guard then had to explain to the driver how to get to the residence where I was waiting. <br> <br> I could use 15 minutes of my hour appointment, for which I pay R790 per appointment. I also had to pay Uber on a 1.7x surge. In the end I had to pay a lot of money to Uber, for them to waste a few hundred rand of mine. This is highly unprofessional and completely unacceptable from a company that claims to help people move around cities better.
