Requested an uber ride, my bank account is linked to the app. Money got deducted thrice with no refund around 5pm 07 October 2024. What makes it worse, is that another 2 deductions for different amounts were taken from my account around 10pm and 2am the morning. How in the Hell was it deducted if no ride was requested, I am Furious, as a total of over R700+ was taken from my account. Spoke to a few people and this happened to others as well. Guys please rather use cash if possible, having your bank account linked is apparently safer for drivers, but rather looks like it is not safe for consumers.
