WORKS WELL - UNTIL YOU HAVE A PROBLEM…
Everything goes well in South Africa – until it doesn’t, and this particularly applies to Uber Eats. On opening an account (and, in my case, paying R500 to become an Uber One member) you are asked to compile a protocol which the driver can follow to correctly deliver your purchase i.e. “press nine at the gate, then press dial”.
Yesterday the driver failed to comply with any of these instructions, with the result that my food was not delivered. When I complained and asked for a refund, I was told that ‘ the driver had followed instructions and acted correctly’ the fact that I then supp**** CCTV footage that proved the contrary, I still had my claim denied.
I have cancelled my Uber One membership, and will never use this company again – totally uncooperative and basically *****ulent towards the people they should be assisting; their customer.
