Warning about Uber Eats – Unauthorized Charges!
Hi everyone,
I strongly advise caution when using Uber Eats. Recently, I discovered that they *****ulently deducted money from my bank account without my authorization. I hadn’t used the app for over a year, yet suddenly I noticed the following charges: R1196, R1148, and R578.
When I contacted Uber Eats, they informed me that my bank details were being used on another account by someone named Kgomotso from Johannesburg. Shockingly, they told me it was my responsibility to contact this person to resolve the issue.
This is completely unacceptable. My bank details were entrusted to Uber Eats, and it is their platform that failed to protect them. I don’t know who Kgomotso is, and my dealings should be directly with Uber Eats, not some third party. I demand that Uber Eats take full responsibility and refund my money immediately.
Please be careful if you use this service. I would not recommend it.

31 Mar 2026, 10:27 I have had some positive feedback from uber regarding this matter, they have agreed that it was ***** but advised me that my card may have been cloned. They have blocked the *****ulent account and advised me that my money will be returned to me.
