Useless Protection of Information

My one banking card info got breached. I’ve noticed bank charges on my account for insufficient funds but didn’t make sense of it as there were funds in my account. When I phoned the bank to query it, needless to say 4 charges later, they said someone was trying to use my card through UberEats to buy something worth more than the funds available. When I raised this with Uber, they just reply sorry for the fees but we can’t refund you. Contact your bank. I did not ask for a refund, I asked how could my details be breached firstly. They just ignore the obvious issue. How dense can you be not realize this is an issue. With how many others might this have happened? So the data security of your customers is not a priority? Very disappointed in the level of service received.
