Use Mr Delivery if you live in an estate
Myself and my mom have complained about this to UberEats directly multiple times to no avail. We just get a copy and paste “oh so sorry” every time.
If you live in a security estate rather fetch the food yourself or use Mr Delivery.
Every single time I order from Uber eats to my parents Estate. The driver is “undocumented”. On 9/10 occasions I have been given this excuse by drivers. I ask them to change the driver and they lie and say it’s not possible. I know this is not true as I send them an access code before they pick up the order from a restaurant and I have had the driver changed before if someone doesn’t have their license/ID with them to get in. After lying about changing delivery persons not being possible. They then ask me to drive 10 minutes to the gate to fetch my order. May as well fetch this directly yourself as you are paying for a service that you do not receive. Just to get a copy paste apology from UberEats without them actually fixing the issue or refunding you for a delivery service not received.
There have been a multiple times where I have suspected drivers are lying about not having the correct documents to gain access to the estate. When I tell them I don’t have a car they are magically able to find their documents and deliver to my door.
There is no way to contact UberEats with a live order. As someone who works with service/help desks professionally - I highly suggest that UberEats does an intensive review of their pathetic help processes.
Never had any issues with Mr Delivery when it comes to security estates. Use them instead.
