******** deduction from bank account

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

On 15 July 2022, I ordered food from Villa San Giovanni, Wonderboom by utilising the Uber Eats App.

The charge for the food was deducted from my credit card, and driver Chidi Julius delivered my order, whom I tipped in cash.

On 16 July 2022 (the next day), I receive a request via push notification on the Uber Eats App to rate the service.

I happily obliged and gave the service a thumbs-up - Only to be notified (almost instantly) and thanked for a "tip in the amount of R 70-95”.

I immediately contacted Uber Eats to report this unauthorised, unintentional and ******** deduction from my account, in an endeavour to have it refunded,

I was met by a string of emails and replies from the Uber Eats App, stating that they refuse to refund the said "tip amount", and concluding the matter to be considered 'closed'.

I consider this to be exceptionally bad customer service by Uber eats, a gross violation of my consumer rights and tantamount to theft.

My query in this regard remains unresolved.

I definitely advice not to use UberEats.
