*****ulent transection by UberEats contravening the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), 2002.

On January 23, 2025, I made a food purchase through Uber Eats. Since then, I have been receiving multiple unauthorized deductions from my card, often within seconds, continuing through to today, January 28, 2025. After contacting the phone line provided by the shop where I made the purchase, I was directed to the help section of the mobile app. I have documented these deductions with screenshots, and, to make matters worse, I’ve also been charged additional bank fees.

The total amount deducted exceeds R2000, and I am concerned about how many others may be affected by this. This appears to be a case of *****. If I do not receive a reversal of these charges within 24 hours from today (January 28, 2025), I will be filing a formal complaint at the nearest police station.

If anyone else is experiencing similar issues, I urge you to report this as a ***** case. Uber Eats must be held accountable for violating the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), 2002. The clock is ticking.
