Uber’s promotions confuse customers and cause unfair reviews for restaurants. “Buy 1, Get a Free Item” sounds like “Buy 1, Get 1 Free,” and when customers complain, Uber doesn’t verify before penalizing the restaurant. This needs fixing!

I’m really frustrated about a REFUND(AT OUR COST) that came from Uber’s misleading “Buy 1, Get a Free Item” promotion. Customers often misread it as “Buy 1, Get 1 Free.” When they don’t get an extra item, they assume something is missing and click “item not received.”

The problem is that Uber doesn’t ask them to explain the issue or confirm what they actually received. So even when the restaurant fulfills the order correctly, the customer can still mark it as missing, as they are not required to elaborate on the missing item, and we take the blame for something that isn’t our fault. Because the customer was never supposed to receive double the order, this was a misunderstanding by THE CUSTOMER.

This setup misleads customers and unfairly hurts restaurants, both through bad reviews and lost money. Uber needs to fix the wording of the offer or change the complaint process so customers can’t misuse the “not received” option.

Please look into this and pay us for the order that was processed correctly.

Why am I also being charged for a service you insist we didn't offer?
