UberEats is *******!

Worst experience ever!

Myself and my husband had date night last night and ordered from Roman's Pizza in Auckland park last night via UberEats. Firstly we ordered the pizza special, with dessert pies. We paid for priority delivery (Extra R12) and opted to do a cash tip. The total for this had been R360. 30 that I had put through on my card where I had a R50 tip for the driver in cash.

Being date night we had a few drinks so thus is why I ordered in the first place. Now we waiting for the food and we see the driver had stopped moving and this is where wverything for us turned sour. The driver started texting us via the app to please COME FETCH our order where he was 6.2 kilometers from my house! At the BP Garage of all places as apparently 19.00PM is when they get hijacked and ****** from in our area (Coronationville Johannesburg). I explained to the driver, Henry, that I am not capable of driving, we stood outside in the driveway where it was horribly cold for upward of 15 minutes! After pleading and even threatening to report the driver for misconduct, knowing full well we even paid the extra for priority delivery, we had to cancel our order as he was plainly refusing.

Come into contact with support after seeing that the charge has not been returned, the person on the other side, after explaining the story and offering receipts documenting everything, UberEats has denied my refund. Now I have the loss of the money, the food and my respect for this horrible service provider.

Please NEVER, EVER for GOD SAKE, ORDER FROM THIS ESTABLISHMENT EVER AGAIN!
