UberEats Insults and Discriminates Against Pregnant Lady
To Whom It May Concern,
On 1 November 2021 my wife and I ordered Pizza from Debonairs (Order #C5A7E) and unfortunately we were met by an incredibly rude and aggressive courier or ultimately did not deliver our food, cancelled the order and drove off. When he arrived at our block of flats he instructed my heavily pregnant wife to walk up the stairs and meet him outside as he was unwilling to deliver to the door (as we had requested on the app). When my wife messaged him to ask him to come to the door he began to insult her, calling her lazy. After multiple insults and aggressive communication he cancelled the order and left. This left us waiting for an hour for food which never arrived. It left me angry that a courier your company uses would come and insult my wife.
My wife then used the complaint service on the app to notify Uber Eats of the issue. Uber Eats eventually responded with what appears to be a copy and paste, standardized message used to placate individuals who complain. This I find highly insulting. I would like to know exactly what measures have been taken against that courier and I would like to know what Uber Eats is going to do to make it right with my wife and I. A simple message will not make this issue go away and is simply not good enough.
Let me make this very clear. I do not use your app to be insulted by your couriers. Moreover, I find it highly offensive that your courier would insult my pregnant wife and you do nothing about it. You have now wasted much of my time which you apparently only deem worth a single copy and paste message on the app. Is this how you treat customers you have wronged?
Make it right.
