Uber Unwilling to help

I ordered lunch for a scheduled delivery. Unfortunately, I had to leave home to deal with a work emergency and left. I told my domestic helper to accept the delivery for me. When the order arrived, I messaged the delivery man that I was not home and to hoot for my helper to hear. I don't know if he did, but she said she heard nothing. The delivery man left the food at my gate. (I live in a freestanding home on a busy intersection) and left. When I got home, the food parcel was unsurprisingly not there, at my gate, on the street. What I find unacceptable is that Uber is refusing to recify this, and now I'm hungry and R160 lighter.
