UBER eats - total opposite of convenience
Yesterday morning I placed an order for the following items: 2 x quarter mutton bunnies at R90 each 1 x mutton biryani at R90 1 x 12 pack scones from at R35 I received a R50 voucher from UBEReats which I redeemed that took a my Total to R267.90 which was then debited from my account. Anticipating the arrival of my food...as I work from home and take care of my elderly mum. The driver arrived with and with excitement he only had the scones. When I asked about the food he said that there was no food. I then asked him to go back to the place. I then called the place and they told me that the food was not ready and it will only be after 11. I then made mention of the money that was debited from my account and she said that there was nothing she could do and I needed to call UBEReats and provided me with the number. I then called them and spoke to a person by the name of Haroon who then told me that they only deducted R1.75 which is still incorrect. He told me to go onto my app and check what was going on. I then messaged the 'Help option on the app and explained what had happened. Up until now I've received no feedback and no money back into my account. This service was supposed to be easy and convenient. It's actually really appalling. When we try and support businesses this is the treatment you receive. It's highly frustrating that I need to follow up and no one had the audacity to get back to me. As per the app my order was supposed to be delivered at 0935.
