Uber eats robbing customers of Vouchers.
I’ve experienced an issue with promo codes on Uber eats for the second time. I receive vouchers from Absa bank of which I use on Uber eats, however Uber eats does not allow for cash payments when using these vouchers hence when you select a card payment, Uber eats then deducts the full amount from your bank account, for eg if your meal cost R100 and you apply a voucher of R50, and it’s shows on the app that your voucher was minused and that you will only be charged for the remaining balance of R50 from your bank, uber eats then deducts the full amount and not the discounted amount. The first time it happened, I had asked the driver for assistance in getting my money back, hence he could not help, I have proof of everything and I had even sent emails and reported on the app but no assistance/feeback was given regarding the matter. Today 2022/12/06 the exact same thing had happened to me I had a voucher of R50, I ordered pizza from Debonairs, my total to be paid was R20 because of my voucher, but Uber eats deducted R70.90 from my bank account, of which I’m not happy about! Because Uber eats is actually robbing me, they taking the voucher and the full amount of money! I would appreciate it if someone from Uber eats could call me to refund my money!
