UBER Eats refusing to take accountability

On April 26th, I placed an order on Uber Eats and was charged a R250 pre-authorisation fee. Once the food was delivered, Uber Eats had the nerve to take another R250 from my account. When I reached out for clarity, their pathetic response was to “check with my bank” — which I did. The bank confirmed exactly what I already knew: the money was taken by Uber Eats.

Since May 9th, I’ve been chasing them for a refund, and they’ve completely ignored my emails. This is how they treat paying UBER ONE clients? Quick to take money, but impossible to reach when it’s time to return what they owe. How is a company like this still allowed to operate? This is blatant theft, and the complete lack of accountability is disgusting.
