Uber eats refusing to deal with over payment issue

I Ordered food in december 2019, paid for it cash and next time i went on to my uber eats it told me i still owed the amount. I tried to contact uber eats and they keep telling me it's not their fault and that i must pay-basically I'm being told that i must pay because the driver or delivery guy chose to keep the money and say i didnt pay. given that i have been a loyal customer you would think this matter would be solved by now
