Uber Eats payment system...Is it deliberately set up to double charge to make extra money?

They double charge and are unwilling to assist in reversing charges. After taking ages I had to ask the bank to explore and got the charges reversed at exorbitant charges. Even the message I left on their platform was archived by them. Mr. delivery would be the supplier going forward or directly with supplier. No more Uber Eats on this side. This needs to be published so that people know. I'm not the first to complain either.
