Uber eats order never arrived

Uber eats doesn't want to refund me. I placed an order with Uber eats on the 30th September 2024 just after 9pm. Uber eats took too long to locate a driver, the restaurant then contacted me and advised that they were closing at 10:30pm and I should try to get uber packaging instead to collect which I couldn't. At this point I had cancelled delivery and chose the collection option. Then suddenly I received a call from *** Uber eats telling me that my order has arrived to my surprise. I went into the app only to find a stream of messages from Admire. I sent him a response asking him to wait where he was because it was close to the address but I could see that he's at the wrong place. The address I put is 4 Toby lane, he was on 6 Toby lane on the other side of the road. I think he just decided to leave the food on the street because as I was going to look for him it said delivered. Tried calling him there was no response. He loaded a picture of the road where he was which doesn't make sense.

I have a screenshoot to show where he was compared to where he should have been. But Uber says they can't refund me because he followed procedure. My conclusion he took my food and confirmed delivery and left whilst my family was home and hungry.

The funny thing is no. 6 Toby lane and no 4 are actually in the same place because it's an apartment area.

So my advice don't order food for delivery after 9pm.

I also suspect they blocked my app because since then till today I can't request a ride. Well it's their loss because they lost a loyal and frequent customer.
