Uber Eats not refunding a legitimate refund due to unintelligent employee.

Upon reading some of the other reviews about Uber Eats and *****ing people of their money I guess im not so surprised now at the outcome of my situation today. I ordered a special that clearly indicates if you spend over R200 with the restaurant you get R75 off. I spent just over R200 in food, exlcuding delivery and service fee. before checking out, I see my R75 discount was app**** so I proceeded to check out. Upon receiving a sms from my bank to state that R236.55 has gone off my account, I was pretty confused.

So I followed process and submitted a ticket to the help team via the uber eats app to request a refund for the balance of which should have been a discount. Unfortunately this is where I have the displeasure of meeting one Irtiza Nadeem, an uber eats employee with an IQ no more than a brick.

So after explaining that this discount gets app**** automatically by the app and that there is no code for the promo, I get asked this:

Hi Anthony,

In order for us to assist you in a better way, kindly specify the promo code that you are referring to. Once we have this information, we will be able to look into this further."

So I responded again further stating that I am unable to provide a code as the promotion is app**** automatically. I then provided a screen of the restaurant page with the banner that CLEARLY states, spend R200 and get R75 off, then this bricked brained employee replies with this:

"Hi Anthony,

We've looked into the details and can see that the restaurant you ordered from wasn't part of this promotion. Therefore, we're not in a position to offer any price adjustment for this order.

Please note that it is important to select a restaurant that is a part of the specific promotion as not all the restaurants have the similar promotions.

Thanks for your understanding."

I mean, I rarely have issues with Uber Eats providing refunds where they are due, this is a first time for me, but the incompetence and lack of intelligence of this employee warranted this review.

Come one Uber eats, at least employee educated people and not this side garbage you pulled off the street.
