Uber Eats not paying restaurant partners their turn over
I'm a restaurant partner with Uber Eats, and they somehow 'skipped' paying me a weeks turnover, THREE TIMES. I have been fighting with them every day, but have just been skipped again on their payment run, meaning I wont be paid until next week.
I have been asked to sit and wait while their ‘engineers’ work out their ‘bugs’,
in that time this has happened:
- I have had to trade with only 2 to 3 out of my 5 meal options due to lack of stock, as well as being open fewer hours.
- Ive calculated a loss of earnings of around R9000 (half my average weekly turnover over X 3 weeks)
- So in total I will be approaching the end of the month with: R6000 Uber Eats payment not paid R9000 Loss of earnings.
TOTAL: R15 000
Resulting in:
- The closing down of one branch (Observatory) due to lack of rent. - Unable to pay staff salaries.
Its quite sad as I know that the cities where Uber Eats thrives, is also due to the Dark Kitchen scene,
but I will definitely be sharing my experience and urging people to focus on the smaller more local apps as they actually care about their restaurant partners, while Uber Eats clearly does not.
Ive been chatting to them about the situation and they are disgusted, and of course quite angry like myself as they have now lost a branch, all because of Uber Eats.
Please oh please, Uber Eats, I beg of thee, get your ‘engineers’ to fix your ‘bug’, and PAY ME MY MONEY!!!
Thanks
