Uber eats ****mers

Booked a gift of cake and flowers for my mother and grandmother in durban as I live away from them. The uber driver collected “claims to have tried to get hold of me” my phone rang I eagerly waited in anticipation to chat to him as my parents were awaiting the delivery and I wanted to give him clear I instructions to let him know my dad is waiting on the road for him. The call cut after 3 rings, when I called the number back it rang and went straight to an automated message. There was no cell number for this driver so that I could liase …nothing …he left my food order apparently just anywhere because he uploaded a picture of the package on grass. Did not even take the pin from me and I got notified the package was delivered. I tried to contact uber and they said sorry, your driver tried to get hold of you and you didn’t answer so “too bad “ basically. So no refund! No further comms! No empathy, no pin was taken! The food could have been eaten by the driver! Only the good lord knows! Uber is a ****! I’m heartbroken and I wish the world would know about this horrible service! ****mers! Taking from old pensioners!
