Uber Eats leaves food by Road side

I did not receive my Uber Eats order, the driver decided to leave my food at the gate a meter away from the road after he could not get hold of me and left. Someone took the food (since it was left by the side of the road). Uber Eats says its not their problem as according to their policy if the driver left the food at a secure location it is regarded as delivered. I informed them that leaving the food by the side of the road is NOT a secure location, no response thereafter.
