Uber eats driver ran away with my food and Uber eats says they won't refund me😠

I ordered food yesterday evening. The driver never arrived, to deliver the food. I taxed the driver to find out where he was, he didn't respond. The next I received a notification that says my food has been delivered. I called Uber eats to connect me to the driver, amazingly he phone was switched off. I reported him to Uber eats and I was told that I will not get a refund because the driver tried to get hold of me and he was unsuccessful. I paid R355. 30 for this order, now I'm told that I won't get it back, how fair is that? My children had to east cereal to go to bed because Uber eats driver ran away with my food. The drivers name is Bright. I am very disappointed 😠
