On the 14th of February at 20h30 I opened my front door to go to the garden and I stumble on a Wimpy package & 2 milkshakes on my stoep; ants were enjoying it. My wife called a few friends and found out that her friend ordered lunch for two us and was delivered by Ubereats. We were home the whole day , there was no knock or call at all. Seemingly the Uber eats driver just dropped the food at the front stoep around lunch time and left. How does one deliver something and not give it to the recipient & just drop food on the stoep? Are these drivers actually trained or just taken on the street to deliver food? The worst part is that now we can’t contact Uber eats as there is no contact number to report the incident. Wimpy told us they can’t take responsibility, we must contact Uber eats directly which are now unable to. So be warned about Uber eats, I have heard stories of drivers eating the food and not delivering it without any consequences so be warned.
