Uber Eats, A Masterclass in How to Ruin a Customer’s Day
Dear Uber Eats,
Congratulations. You’ve officially turned what used to be a convenient food delivery service into a daily gamble of chaos, confusion, and culinary disappointment.
Let’s start with the drivers. I have lost count of how many times I’ve been ****med, misled, or left dumbfounded by individuals who can’t even communicate in basic English — and frankly, seem more like they wandered into the app by accident than actually work for you. Many appear to have zero training, and I’m genuinely concerned some aren’t even legally permitted to operate here. It’s giving “shadow operation” vibes.
Then there are my Uber credits, which have mysteriously been locked away like they’re gold bars in Fort Knox. No explanation. No solution. Just… gone. It’s like winning the lottery only to be told, “Sorry, you can’t cash that in because… reasons.”
And let’s not forget the latest gem: I ordered from a store, paid in full, and they didn’t even have the item. No call. No replacement. Just vanished. I did my part — submitted photos, evidence, probably could’ve launched a PowerPoint presentation — and still, no refund. Not even a “we’re sorry.” Just ghosted, like a bad Tinder date.
Your support service used to be decent. Now? It’s like shouting into a void. The bots are more responsive than the people, and when someone does reply, it’s as if they didn’t even read the message.
I expect: • My credits reinstated immediately, no excuses. • A full refund for the missing item. • A serious look into your driver vetting process, because I’m tired of turning food deliveries into international spy missions.
If this message mysteriously “doesn’t meet policy” or gets ignored like the others, no problem — I’ll just take it to every review platform, social media channel, and consumer forum I can find. I’ve got time today.
Do better. Please.
