Though they have always been great, today has been a disaster

I have been using UberEats for a while now and was very happy with them. In fact, I haven’t met anyone who had anything but praise for the service.

Today was a completely unpleasant experience though. I ordered from KFC, the food was prepared after about two minutes and the driver got to within 100m from the store five minutes later. There he hung around for something like fifteen minutes. When he finally picked up the order, Uber Eats informed me that the driver is doing another delivery first. This new destination of his was around twice as far away than what I am. Once he got there, he spent another twenty minutes there.

My delivery finally arrived about fifty minutes after it had been prepared - from a KFC that is four minutes drive from my house. I could eat a little bit of it before the rest just got too cold to eat anymore.

The worst of it all is that UberEats has nowhere to complain about this.

It will take a while for the bad taste this experience has left in my mouth to go away. What do I do now? Do I take a chance that it will be better next time or do I just get in my car and get the food myself?
