Terrible delivery communication and terrible customer service

I ordered a meal on UberEats. This was meant to be delivered at my office where I needed to meet the driver at the entrance and therefore on my delivery notes I had mentioned that the driver needs to call or text when he has arrived so I may come collect.

I realized no one has texted or called and when checking the app, the app advised the order has been delivered. When trying to call the driver, the phone went straight to voicemail.

As a result Uber advises I can't get a refund because the driver made sufficient attempts to contact however I did not receive a single notification.

To make things worse, I placed a second order on behalf of a friend at a separate location a few minutes later with the same institutions and this time Uber had contacted me and they were able to collect the food.

Terrible and inconsistent service.

UberEats has just lost a customer.

I recommend Mr D as they communicate very well with customers.
