Shocking Service if food Items are missing

I ordered a Meal from Spur that comes with two premium sauces. They cost R24 each on the Spur menu. When the food arrives without my sauces, the driver advises I need to log a complaint with Uber Eats to get a refund. Alas they say it is my responsibility to make sure the restaurant has the Condiments and I should have called them and asked them if they had stock. Refusing to refund me or assist me in anyway.
