Safety and security

I ordered from KFC to the value of R444. The driver arrives and askes for my code. I asked if it is ok to get the order first before I give the code. He said what difference does it make. I told him it is just my preference and that all other delivery drivers have not had an issue with it. He then said there is no difference. I then asked if there is no difference can I just have my food first then. I told him I already paid on the app and would just like my food now. He then says he does not care and I won't get my food now. I then see on my app that he writing "are you there"? then "No one is here to pick up the order". I then write back in the messages, "Do not lie, I am here and you don't want to hand over my food". The next notification is then that the driver has waited more than 8 min for me and he will now dispose of the food. I took a picture of him. He then took a picture of me and tried to grab my phone but my husband steps in between us and tells him just to get the F out of there. He then sends me more messages of how I just tried to assault him and how he is reporting me to the police. I messaged him that he tried to assault me and that he is crazy. UberEats refuse to give me my money back as the driver waited more than 8 min (even though I have a picture and screenshot of the messages) and the Driver Dave got away with the food. In addition, they blocked our app because he reported us for assaulting him. We lost the food, the money, and our faith in UberEats. I will never use this app again. We will now open a case with the police for theft of the food. On a call with Ubereats they had the audacity to tell us that we need to get the drivers name and surname through the police. These people have your name and address. This is just not safe with the amount of people with substance abuse issues and that are mentally unstable.
