Poor Customer Service and Disregard for Instructions - A Disappointing UberEats Experience
I recently had a very disheartening experience with UberEats that I feel compelled to share. Having specific dietary restrictions due to allergies, I placed an order for sushi with explicit instructions for the sauce to be removed. This request was crucial for me, yet it was overlooked, rendering the meal inedible.
Understanding that mistakes happen, I reached out to UberEats customer service, hoping for a resolution. The response I received was not only unsatisfactory but also dismissive. While they acknowledged my feedback, they offered no real solution, advising me instead to direct my concerns to the restaurant. Despite my efforts to explain the issue, the support offered was nonexistent. The agent, "dan***," suggested I rate the restaurant, which missed the point entirely.
My attempt to rate the customer service experience itself hit another roadblock – the provided link for feedback was dysfunctional. Further communication with the agent proved futile; my last message, expressing my desire to rate the customer service as unsatisfactory, was met with silence. The status of our conversation was then perplexingly updated to "waiting on response" from my end, though I had already rep****.
Apart from the service mishap, the quality of the food that I could eat was mediocre at best. The entire ordeal was not just a waste of time and money but also led to unnecessary food wastage due to my allergies.
UberEats charges a service fee, yet when it comes to customer service, they fall significantly short. My experience has shown me that they lack the basic understanding and empathy required to handle customer concerns, especially those pertaining to health and safety.
I would strongly advise against using UberEats and recommend exploring alternatives like MrD or any other delivery service. Save yourself the disappointment and choose a platform that values your business and well-being.
If I could rate 0 stars, I would.
