My order never arrived

I ordered food yesterday from KFC Douglasdale via Uber Eats. I've placed clear instructions for the delivery for person to ask for me at the reception as i work in a call centre and I can't answer my phone or be on my phone at all times. 30 minutes later when i went to check my phone, there were messages stating that my order was cancelled before the delivery person couldn't reach me. Why did he try to get hold of me when i clearly indicated that he must leave my food at the reception? Now I'm being told that Uber Eats can't refund me because the driver followed all the delivery polices. I just want my money.
