Most delayed and unprofessional delivery service
Not impressed with the terrible service given. Drivers are unreliable and slow. And the best part is that they bull**** your customers with weak excuses. Ubereats takes no responsibility for the poor service provided by their drivers but rather covers up for them. This encourages your drivers to continue with their **** because they know they will still get paid and there are no real repercussions. It's like you apologise just for the sake of apologising only to let the same **** happen over and over again.
Yesterday I ordered food which should have taken no longer than 20min to get to me...why? 1) the restaurant is a 10min (if not less) drive from my place of work 2) the driver, Patrice, did not have any other deliveries (just mine) 3) He was driving against traffic and he is on a bike (they aren't really that much affected by traffic) but yet I factored in another 10min for any unforseen circumstances
Yet it took this man 40min to deliver my food and his excuse was that he got stuck at the boom gates of Canal walk as it would not open up for him. He then claimed that instead of pressing the help button which is available right there at the boom gates, he was instructed to go to security's office. Who gave him this instruction? Security that stands at the boom gates who is there to assist for that very reason! So why did he have to go to the office specifically?
I asked him how long it took them to assist him but he couldn't say. I then asked for proof of this activity and he couldn't provide me with any to back up his story.
This is the umpteenth time that I have received poor excuses for late deliveries and I have complained many times. But the service just gets worse.
The drivers don't take their jobs seriously and Ubereats don't take their customers seriously. Yesterday was my last order with your company. I will rather stick to Mr D and OrderIn...and I will encourage my family and friends to do the same.
And yes you may think that I'm only 1 customer that you are losing, but soon this will catch on like wild fire and you will fade as quickly as Mxit to the point of non-existence in South Africa.
