****ming UberEats Driver Horracio in Springs

I ordered pizza from Debonairs last night via the UberEats app. I was tracking the delivery via the App and when I saw that the driver was nearby I walked out and when I reached the gate I saw a couple of people outside and they were some drunk neighbours who were making noise and the driver drove off before I could even utter a word. The driver started chatting to me indicating how they feared for their lives and that this is a trap to take their bike . I indicated to the driver that I am not planning on taking their bike and those noisy people were drunk neighbour and apologized for them scarying him. The driver then proceeded to tell me to come to the nearby garage if I wanted my order as he won’t be risking his life coming back to an ambush . I kept reassuring the driver that I am not a ******** and there is no one by my gate and I cannot walk to the garage alone at night as a female hence why I used a delivery service . The driver insisted that I am trying to ambush him and he won’t be dying for pizza and he will take it back to the store . 40 to 50min later my partner arrived at home and we drove to the store and the driver never returned the items , when I tried to call he never picked up However when the store tried to call he picked up and said he will bring it back after 30min . The driver was rude, didn’t do what he said he will do as he was fearing for his life and UberEats says the driver followed protocol and will not be reimbursing me . This driver called Horracio even had the audacity to take a pic of my order while at the garage and said he is waiting for me and I am not coming out . Firstly because of the group Of people next to the gate of my house he never got a chance to take out the order and take pics he only did that at the garage so why lie .As for UberEats as a company please tell your drivers that the job is risky However they should not always assume that customers are ought to get them and misuse the precautionary measures given to them
