If I could I would rate it 0 stars. Uber Eats ****med me out of R302. Their driver never delivered my food but marked the delivery completed. I immediately contacted Uber eats, their response was the driver provided a photo where he left the food on the ground at an unknown location. He also told them he tried to fall me but I tdfnt answer. I told them I have proof that he never showed up in the form of messages he sent wherein he said he wasn't coming because the area in his view wasn't safe for Uber drivers. UberEats wouldn't even consider the proof I have. They just took my money and don't care that I didn't receive the food. I'm flabbergasted.

22 Aug 2024, 03:58When I submitted a complaint UberEats response was their driver followed their policy. So, it's their policy to allow drivers to cheat customers. The Consumer Ombud should look into this.

Im starting a class action all the way up to National consumer tribunal. The more the stronger the case for government to cancel or suspend UberEats license in SA, until they comply with basic consumer rights.
