If I could give them a minus 5, I definitely would! I am beyond frustrated and honestly disgusted with my recent Uber Eats experience. I placed an order that I never received, and to make matters worse, Uber has the audacity to claim I’m “not eligible for a refund” because the driver supposedly “tried to contact me and waited for me.” That is an absolute lie. The driver didn’t even arrive at the correct address. I kept calling him—over and over—trying to redirect him, but he clearly had no idea how to read a GPS or follow simple directions.
What really infuriates me is that I use Checkers Sixty60 and Mr D regularly, and their drivers ALWAYS find my address without any issue. So why is it that when an Uber Eats driver is lost and completely incapable of rerouting himself, the customer is the one who has to pay for it? How is that remotely fair?
Uber’s customer service is pathetic. There’s no number to call, no real human to speak to—just that useless in-app chat where they hide behind scripted responses because they know issues like this happen far too often. It feels like deliberate avoidance. Meanwhile, I’ve lost both my groceries and my money because of their driver’s incompetence.
This entire experience has been nothing short of infuriating. Uber Eats needs to take responsibility for their drivers’ mistakes instead of punishing paying customers. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be ordering from them again.
