Food not delivered

Driver left with the order and said he delivered it. Worse when I complained on the app they are saying nothing can be done, they didn’t even try to call the driver as when I called him, he was not picking up. Reading the reviews I see that this is common. I even offered to send them a CCTV footage to show that the driver left with the food. Why are we not also protected? What is the pin for if a driver can just lie about where the food is? This is frustrating as Ubereats used to be trusted.
