FOOD DRIVER VANISHED. NO EXPLANATION. CANCELLED TOO LATE AT NIGHT TO MAKE OTHER DINNER PLANS!!!

I am furious with Uber Eats service last night. This is beyond unaccaptable. Please can somebody read this full email and give me an explanation.

We ended up PHONING the restaurant after almost two hours of waiting for our food and they told us that the Uber driver had already collected our food and left ages ago! They gave us the driver's number. The RESTAURANT tried calling him, WE tried calling him, UBER support tried calling him after I contacted you guys TWICE, and NOBODY could get hold of him AFTER he had collected our food!! The driver's phone was OFF!! He VANISHED with our food!! If this driver doesn’t get fired immediately, Uber Eats has a lot to answer for. If you think his behavior is acceptable, I have nothing to say.

I got a refund after I agreed to let support cancel the order after more than two hours, but here’s the point: Uber ruined my evening. I made dinner plans in advance by ordering on Uber Eats for me and my guests. After two hours of nobody being able to tell me where my order or driver is, I get my refund! My money was returned when all other restaurants were already closed and it was too late for me to make any other dinner plans!! Can you imagination my embarrassment with my guests? A refund does not compensate for this. I suppose the driver ran away and ate all of our food that the restaurant prepared! How else can you explain this? How can you possibly justify this behaviour?

I demand to know what happened to my food last night. The driver DEFINITELY collected it from the restaurant - they confirmed. After collection, the driver vanished and his phone was switched off. I am SICK of talking to robots on Uber support who cannot give me an answer. I expect a HUMAN to read this FULL email and give me an explanation. I don’t care about the fact that I got my refund. I care about the fact that Uber ruined my evening. I have never ever in my life experienced anything so unprofessional.
