Food delivery issue

I am extremely disappointed with how uber eats handled a food delivery issue. Uber eats driver claimed to have called me twice and to have waited for me before driving off with my food. He never called me and he never even drove to my address. I informed uber eats of this and they told me I was ineligible for a refund because the driver tried calling me which is not true. I asked uber eats to request proof from the driver that he called and they never bothered. So in all, it seems like they took the driver’s word for it and just kept in sending me automated messages. I am infuriated because I was patiently waiting for my food and it never arrived. Uber eats did not even bother investigating this properly.
