Driver theft, rude store management and zero support - owed a total refund of R1044,07

Uber Eats has become completely *************. I have experienced two major delivery failures in four days, characterized by rude merchants, unhelpful staff, and ****** food. I am demanding a total refund of R1,044,00 for these unresolved issues. On Friday, 23 October 2026, I placed order number *** from Chicken Licken Amalgam amounting to R572,00. The driver, Elias (Registration: ***), delivered the wrong order. I noticed the mistake immediately and instructed him to take it back. I called Chicken Licken Amalgam directly, but the manager was incredibly rude, disrespectful, and dismissive. He only changed his tone when I demanded the details for the Uber Eats escalation centre. He claimed Uber Eats instructed him to tell me to call them myself, which turned out to be a lie. When I finally reached the Uber Eats offices, an agent named Stella (who refused to disclose her surname) confirmed a call was logged but claimed she was completely unable to provide me with any further details. I still have not received any communication or my R572,00 refund. Today, 26 October 2026, I placed another order from Triumphs Kitchen amounting to R472,00. Highly suspiciously, the order number for today shows as "***" on the system. The driver, BIANGALA NANOU (Registration: ***), kept moving further away as the ETA increased. He ignored my messages. When he finally answered my call, he hung up the moment I asked how far he was. He then ignored more than 10 subsequent phone calls. The app is still stuck on "On the way" and "On hold." The driver clearly stole my food. Your automated bots and unhelpful staff like Stella offer zero customer protection. I demand that a senior human manager reviews order *** and the suspicious "***" order immediately, and processes my total refund of R1,044,00.
