Driver stole my food, uber eats will not give refund, worst service ever

The driver did not deliver my food and when i complained to UberEats support they promised to help and send back refund but they didnt, instead they said that i took too long with complaint when i had done it within 48 hours time frame and uber eats took a whole week to even respond back to the claim.

Context: I ordered some food and the driver was on the way when i realised that the address was wrong however, it was still in the same area, this i agree was my mistake i agree. So looking at the guides or instructions of when there is a wrong delivery on the app, i followed it and it said to call the driver. First things first the driver refused to change route. I was like fine, i then went to the place where the order was orignially supposed to be, where the driver was. Got there and then i get notification that my food was delivered when in fact there was no one there, no food left behind, meaning the driver went away with my food. With this system of having the code being the last few digits of our numbers, the driver must have realised and then used to code to go away with my food. This happened around 1900 on saturday. Then while I was waiting at the area, my phone got ******. Despite this i went to the place where I ordered from the very next day, within 24 hours timeframe. Together with the manager of the fast food place, we called ubereats about how all this went down and the driver ran away with my food. They promised to help after i followed a few instructions, mind you they also kept referring me to different number all the time, yet I was patient. Then they took a whole week to email me back saying that refund is not possible because it was done within 48hr timeframe, yet i did it within 24hr timeframe. Its been a few months and i am still ****ed. Best believe I will not be using UberEats.
