DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE UBEREATS, NOT COOL

I am very upset with the depreciation of service of UBEREATS. I regularly order meals for my elderly mother who stays in another province, this is not the first or second time Ive had trouble with UberEats but because its a little more reliable and safe as well as more feasible in most cases, we are forced to stick with it.

I ordered a meal from a reputable outlet and the latest time of arrival was about 1h30mins, no problem. an hour into the delivery i became aware the driver was not moving for about 15 minutes and then the app said the driver was outside. after my mother waited outside for about 5 minutes i decided to phone and find out where the driver was. I was on the phone approx 20 minutes trying to guide a driver that doesnt speak good english because he said his gps stopped working. i then phoned back a couple of more times and eventually he says he bought data and will hopefully be on his way again. already this order was passed the latest time of arrival, but i appologised to my mom for the cold food when it eventually got there and explained that ubereats said there would be a R40 off her next order for the trouble.

a week later we are ordering again and the amount does not get deducted, also with that order, the driver had incorrectly stored her drink and there was a hole in her container of coke which spilled through and messed up her meal, so i reported and and queried the R40 off. ubereats refunded the drink, but refused to refund the R40 as they said i have no prove and they have no recollection. also i need to understand that its only an estimated time of arrival for delivery of food. NOT ONLY did i use airtime and time and effort trying to continuously phone and navigate a driver who could hardly understand me, NOT ONLY did my mother have a cold meal (and one cannot merely heat up prawns) but UberEats **** when sending me a notification to apologise and give a apologetic R40 off the next meal
