Disappointing Service

I ordered a meal at Mc Donald’s through Ubereats on the 1st of April. The driver tried calling me way before expected delivery time. I tried calling him back with a different number. Ubereats wouldn’t put me through, stating I’m using a different number from that on the app (which I feel it’s ridiculous). Eventually I got ahold of the driver. He said he left with my food and said he won’t be coming back. He said he knocked on our door, which he didn’t. If you’re expecting a delivery you sure on the look out for a bell ring… He then said I should go pick up my food at McDonalds which defeats the purpose of using Ubereats. Eventually when I wasn’t getting feedback from Ubereats I went to McDonald’s to pick up my order as I didn’t want my money to go to waste and I was hungry. When I got there, the driver never took my order back. He wasted my time, my petrol and my money. Eventually Ubereats responded saying they will refund me but putting the blame on me. On some “next time answer your phone”. Which clearly shows the lack of accountability on their side. I’m very disappointed and will never use Ubereats again.
