Delivery guy arrived but food not dropped

I ordered a McDonalds meal on the 18th of March 2025. At 22:08 I received a missed call from my complex’s intercom not from the Uber eats driver. The Uber driver left and ‘left’ the food at the exit gate to the complex. Why would you leave the food at the exit gate where people could run over the food with their cars instead of leaving the food at the security’s office or door? Went to check and the food was not there. I asked the security if they saw food being left at the gate and they said ‘no’. Driver sent a picture on the app but the food was never there and now UberEats does not want to refund my order because the driver waited for “11 minutes” but the food not dropped at my door. It is so sad to sleep on an empty stomach yet you paid a lot of money for the food you bought.
