BEWARE!! Uber eats is ripping you off and keepoing your money!! They don't refund when you cancel a order due to items out of stock

I am so disappointed in uber eats!!! I placed an order with a grocery store. the merchant accepted the order and and minutes later they informed me that the item that I selected was out of stock. I phoned the store and asked them to rather cancel my order as there is no point in buying just one item if the other item is no out of stock as the two go hand in hand. they advised me that I have to cancel with uber eats in order to get refund. Which I then did after a BIG struggle to get to something that can actually assist. this morning I received a message that they cannot refund me because I need to cancel an order before the merchant accepts the order. but how can I do that If in my mind the item should be in stock because it was on the app to select. what a total *******!! now I had to pay for things that I did not get!!! Definitely will stick to Mr. Delivery as they pay you back immediately when a item is out of stock.
