BEWARE OF UBER EATS!!!

I use Uber rides daily for transport, and the drivers always pick me up at the same home address without any issues. Yesterday, I ordered food from Uber Eats, which turned into the most horrific experience I’ve ever had.

I kept checking my phone, and Uber Eats showed my food was collected and just 2 minutes away, then 1 minute, that kept pending. I went to my gate to avoid making the driver wait. After waiting, I received a photo showing my food was "successfully delivered" on some random pavement that wasn't mine, while I was still standing at my gate! The driver never called me, not even once. When I tried calling him after receiving the picture, he didn't answer and simply hung up.

I sent a complaint to Uber Eats, and here’s their response:

Hi Customer Name

Sorry to hear about your experience, but this order is not eligible for a refund. We looked into this and can confirm that the delivery partner followed our policy. They tried to contact you through your phone number ending in 0000 and also waited at your building premises for 12 minutes.

So now, according to Uber Eats, throwing my food on some random pavement and not contacting me properly is "following policy." What kind of policy allows customers to be treated like this?
